General Questions

What is Bohemian Empire Entertainment?

Bohemian Empire Entertainment is a premier entertainment service provider based in Fraser Coast, QLD, specializing in DJ services, karaoke hosting, AI photo booth experiences, and equipment rental for weddings, corporate events, private parties, schools, and holiday parks.

What areas do you service?

Our primary service area is Fraser Coast, including Hervey Bay and Maryborough. We also service areas from Bundaberg to the Sunshine Coast. Travel fees of $1.50 per kilometer apply for events outside a 30km radius from Fraser Coast.

What are your operating hours?

We're available Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. We're closed on Sundays. However, our event services are available seven days a week, including evenings and weekends.

How do I get a quote?

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we carry $5 million public liability insurance for your peace of mind and venue compliance.

Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and peak season events. For weddings, 6+ months in advance qualifies you for our 20% early bird discount. Corporate and private events can often be booked with shorter notice, subject to availability.

What is your booking process?

  1. Contact us for a quote

  2. Discuss your event details and customize your package

  3. Pay a 10% deposit to secure your date

  4. Receive confirmation and event planning support

  5. Final balance due 7–14 days before your event

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Stripe (credit/debit cards), bank transfer via Westpac Air app, and cash payments.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48 hours' notice for cancellations to receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event may forfeit the deposit.

Are there any discounts available?

Yes! We offer:

  • 20% early bird discount for bookings made 6+ months in advance

  • 15% off-peak discount for Monday–Thursday events

  • 10% local discount for Fraser Coast residents

  • 15% multi-event discount for booking multiple services

  • 10% repeat client discount

 

DJ Services

What types of events do you DJ?

We provide DJ services for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, school discos, holiday park entertainment, venue residencies, and private celebrations of all kinds.

What music do you play?

We have an extensive music library covering all genres and eras—from classic hits to the latest chart-toppers. We work with you to create a custom playlist that matches your event's vibe and your guests' preferences.

Can I request specific songs?

Absolutely! We encourage you to provide a list of must-play songs and any do-not-play requests. We'll also take requests from guests during the event to keep the energy high.

What equipment do you bring?

We use professional-grade equipment including Yamaha speakers, Soundcraft mixers, Numark DJ controllers, and Beamz lighting. All equipment is regularly maintained and we carry backup gear for reliability.

Do you provide MC services?

Yes! MC services are included in our Gold and VIP wedding packages, and can be added to any package for an additional fee.

Karaoke Services

How many songs are in your karaoke library?

We have over 40,000 songs in our karaoke library, covering everything from classic favorites to current hits across all genres.

How often is your song list updated?

We update our library regularly to include the latest releases and trending songs, ensuring your guests have access to the most current music.

Do you provide hosting?

Yes! Professional karaoke hosting is included with all our karaoke packages. Our hosts create an inclusive, lively atmosphere that encourages participation and keeps the party energy high.

Can karaoke be combined with DJ services?

Absolutely! We offer flexible packages that combine DJ and karaoke services, perfect for events where you want variety and maximum guest engagement.

SnapPod AI Photo Booth

What is SnapPod?

SnapPod is our cutting-edge AI photo booth that operates attendant-free, offering instant photo sharing, customizable branding, and interactive features that create memorable experiences for your guests.

How does it work?

Guests simply step up to the SnapPod, follow the on-screen prompts, and take their photos. Images are instantly available for sharing via email, text, or social media. No attendant needed!

Can we customize the photos?

Yes! We offer custom branding, themed overlays, event logos, and personalized messages on all photos. Your event's unique style will shine through.

What's included with SnapPod?

Depending on your package, SnapPod includes unlimited photos, instant digital sharing, custom branding, online gallery access, props, and print options.

Can SnapPod be added to other services?

Yes! SnapPod pairs perfectly with our DJ and karaoke services. Check out our combo packages for the best value.

Wedding Services

What wedding packages do you offer?

We offer four wedding packages:

  • Basic Package: $800 for 4 hours

  • Silver Package: $1,000 for 5 hours

  • Gold Package: $1,400 for 6 hours (includes SnapPod and MC services)

  • VIP Package: $2,000 for 7 hours (includes dedicated attendant and all premium features)

 

Do you provide ceremony sound?

Yes! Ceremony sound can be added to any package for $200, including microphones, speakers, and music playback for your ceremony.

Can you help with our wedding timeline?

Absolutely! We work closely with you to create a seamless timeline, coordinate with other vendors, and ensure every moment flows perfectly.

Do you offer custom song services?

Yes! For $499, we can create a custom edited song for your first dance or special moment, perfectly timed and personalized.

What if we need extra time?

Additional hours can be added for $120 per hour, subject to availability.

Corporate Events

What corporate services do you provide?

We offer DJ services, karaoke hosting, SnapPod experiences, MC services, and full audio/visual setup for corporate functions, holiday parties, team building events, product launches, and conferences.

Do you offer corporate memberships?

Yes! Our corporate memberships range from $2,400 to $7,200 annually and include guaranteed quarterly events, priority booking, and significant discounts.

Can you incorporate our branding?

Absolutely! We can integrate your company logo, colors, and branding into SnapPod photos, presentations, and event materials.

Do you have experience with large corporate events?

Yes, we have experience with events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate functions with hundreds of attendees.

School Events

What school packages do you offer?

  • School Disco: $250 for 3 hours

  • Family Fun Day: $550 for 4 hours

  • Trivia Night: $400 for 4 hours

Do you support fundraising efforts?

Yes! Our school packages are designed to support fundraising initiatives, and we can work with you to maximize your event's success.

Are your services age-appropriate?

Absolutely! We tailor our music, hosting style, and activities to be appropriate for the age group attending, creating a safe and fun environment.

How far in advance should schools book?

We recommend booking 8–12 weeks in advance to ensure availability and allow time for proper planning.

Equipment Rental

What equipment is available for rent?

We rent sound systems ($150–$250/day), lighting packages ($100–$200/day), special effects ($25–$50/day), specialty items ($60–$120/day), and complete event setups ($350–$450/day).

Is delivery and setup included?

Delivery and setup can be arranged for an additional fee based on location and complexity. We also offer self-pickup options.

Do you provide technical support?

Yes! We provide setup instructions and technical support. For complex setups, we can provide on-site assistance.

What is the rental deposit?

A $200 refundable deposit is required for all equipment rentals, returned upon safe return of equipment.

Can I rent equipment for multiple days?

Yes! We offer a 15% discount for multi-day rentals.

Technical Questions

What happens if there's a technical issue during my event?

We carry backup equipment and have emergency protocols in place. In the rare event of equipment failure, we have a network of backup DJs and entertainers to ensure your event continues smoothly.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, we bring backup equipment to every event to ensure uninterrupted service.

What if the weather is bad for an outdoor event?

We bring weather protection (gazebo) for outdoor events and work with you to have contingency plans in place.

Who is responsible for music licensing?

Venues are responsible for music licensing compliance. We ensure all our services comply with public performance requirements.

Can I meet with you before booking?

Absolutely! We're happy to meet in person or via video call to discuss your event and answer any questions.

What if I have questions after booking?

We maintain regular communication throughout your event planning process, with scheduled check-ins at 6 months, 3 months, and 1 month before your event, plus a 48-hour confirmation.

How do I provide feedback after my event?

We'll follow up within 24–48 hours after your event to gather feedback. We value your input and use it to continuously improve our services.
